Once students have informed NHS of their participation in the IUSD Free or Reduced-Priced Meal Program and are approved, they are eligible for additional support:
ASB cards are free for participating students. This card is the ID card with "ASB" imprinted on the front which allows students to attend home athletics contests (football, basketball, wrestling) for free. Please see Ms. Barin in the Student Activities Center for an ASB card in exchange for your current ID card.
Advanced Placement exams are available for $95 between February 18 - 24, 2025. Students should refer to the 2024-25 AP Exam Canvas page for more information.
NHS dance tickets can be purchased at a reduced price. Prom will take place on Saturday, May 17, and tickets are available for $90 until May 9. After this date, prices will increase.
OCTA Bus Passes are available to all students. To obtain a bus pass, students and parents must complete a permission form in exchange for a pass. Forms are available in the Main Office at the Reception Desk and are good through September 30, 2024.
Operation School Bell provides clothing and school supplies for income-qualified students in IUSD. To obtain an online Operation School Bell application, please go to alirvine.org for the application and complete it online. Once submitted, the application will be reviewed and the organization will contact the family to request financial documentation. Enrollment will be verified before setting up a Meet & Greet appointment. *Closed for the 2024-25 school year*
Summer Skills Camps (Athletics) are available at a reduced price. Please visit our Web Store under the "FRMP" category in the spring.
Yearbooks are available at a reduced price of $145 until December 31st in our Web Store under the "FRMP" category. Prices go up on January 1, 2025 to $160.
Senior Grad Night tickets will go on sale when we return from Winter Break. Grad Night will take place at Disney's California Adventure. Reduced prices are $120. Please email Ms. Tambara for a discount code. The deadline to purchase is March 21.
Senior Graduation Cap & Gown Rental is available. Please complete this form to reserve yours (your student's). Students will be expected to return their cap and gown when they pick up their diploma (the following day). A tassel is NOT included and can be purchased for approximately $15 when students pick up their cap and gown in June. If you have not alreaady requested a cap and gown, and need one, please see Ms. Tambara.
Senior Activities (Senior BBQ and Senior Breakfast) are available at a discounted rate. Bring this document to the SAC (or see Ms. Tambara for a copy) when you are ready to pay.
Juniors/Seniors, many colleges and universities are test-free or test-optional, however, if you are interested in taking the SAT or ACT this year, you are eligible for a fee waiver. Free Sneakers are available by request. Please complete this form. A limited number of shoes and sizes are available and are not guaranteed.
Southern California Edison is offering discounted rates to eligible families. Two programs are available - California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) and Family Energy Rate Assistance (FERA). Please visit sce.com/care and/or sce.com/fera for more information and to complete an application.
