NHS Athletics Collective Purpose Statement

NHS Athletics exists to foster a learning environment reflective of the school’s core values, where all student-athletes can compete for the greater purpose of developing personal character and commitment to teamwork and community.

Northwood CIF-SS Dead Period

This summer, Northwood Athletics Dead Period will be June 6, 2026 – June 19, 2026. During the mandatory Dead Period, all Northwood Athletics will take a break! The Dead Period is a no-contact rule per CIF, so during this time, all athletics programs will stop running, and there will be no contact or coordinated workouts between coaches and student-athletes/families. This is a great time to plan a vacation to avoid missing any summer camps, which will start up anytime after Monday, June 22, 2026.

Athletics Schedules

Prior to any athletic participation, athletes must complete a physical exam by a licensed physician, and create an athletic clearance account at https://www.athleticclearance.com.  All required documents must be completed, and a signed confirmation sheet turned in to the NHS Athletics Office.
