Hello T-wolves!
We are getting ready to welcome you virtually to campus and want to be sure we provide you with a little more information to help you understand your schedule. This morning, Dr. Roach sent an email to families about checking student schedules on Aeries. Please note that it is a draft as we continue to make adjustments to our schedule. Here are some things that we think would be helpful for you to know when you review your courses in Aeries:
-
Check out the “Term View” tab under Classes → Course Requests in Parent Portal
-
Please check to make sure you have at least six classes:
-
Humanities World Literature (Hum WrldLit or H Hum WrldLit) - English
-
Humanities World History (Hum WrldHis or H Hum WrldHis) - History
-
Integrated Math (Math 1, Math 2 or Enh Math II)
-
Integrated Science (Int Sci-1 or H Int Sci-1)
-
PE or a sport (PE Coed)
-
Elective
-
-
Honors courses are denoted with “H” before the course title. Some examples include:
-
H Int Sci-1
-
H Hum WrldLit
-
-
No Per 1/2 or 7/8 indicates that there is no class that period and that’s perfectly ok! Some students may elect to take an open enrollment elective course, but it is not necessary.
-
This year, students will have a year-long science course and a year-long math course to be taken in one semester
Since our classes meet on ODD and EVEN days, it would be helpful to write out the schedule for FALL semester only using the following format:
ODD PERIODS | CLASSES | EVEN PERIODS | CLASSES |
1 | 2 | ||
3 | 4 | ||
5 | 6 | ||
7 | 8 |
You can see a sample schedule in Aeries for Eric (fictitious student) shown in Term View below. Eric is taking a full-year of Math in the fall semester and a full-year of Science spring semester.
For Fall Semester, Eric’s class schedule on ODD and EVEN days will look like this:
ODD PERIODS | CLASSES | EVEN PERIODS | CLASSES |
1 | Math 1A | 2 | Math 1B |
3 | Humanities World History A | 4 | Humanities World Literature A |
5 | PE Coed A | 6 | Concert Orchestra |
7 | No Class | 8 | No Class |
